Women´s Experience with a Stillbirth in the Czech Republic

  • Original language description

Our research suggests that professional support for midwives, and the possibility for parents of a free decision about contact with a stillborn baby and active processing of grief during the period of mourning affect the posttraumatic growth of women after perinatal loss. Posttraumatic growth of the parents after stillbirth has not been sufficiently researched. In the Czech Republic it is necessary to pursue the issue of psychosocial care for women after perinatal loss further in research and in the professional training of midwives.
