Surgical treatment of the progressive endoleak type II after EVAR
Original language description
Endoleak type II (EL2) is the most common endoleak after EVAR. If the aneurysm sac is growing then treatment is indicated. The first step is endovascular treatment by embolization of Inferior Mesenteric Artery (IMA) or injection of Histoacryl glue into aortic sac by paravertebral injection under CT guidance. Surgical approach is indicated when endovascular techniques are unsuccessful and risks of open surgery are acceptable.
