Corporate Social Responsibility of Five Leading Food Retailers Operating in the Czech Republic
Original language description
A recent prime - time TV debate on the living conditions of laying hens in Czech farms broadcast by a public nationwide television channel revived a broader discussion of the concept of corporate social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility is a concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders mostly on a voluntary basis. All leading companies selling foodstuffs in the Czech Republic continuously enhance their efforts to improve working conditions of their employees, to support charities and to contribute to the protection of the environment.
