On 22.-25. October, 2019 took place in Palermo, Italy 10th Seminar on European and International Criminal Law. The main focus of this international seminar was the issue of protection of human rights in criminal proceedings. The seminar was organized in collaboration with the Department of Criminal Law Faculty of Law in Passau under the guidance of prof. Dr. Robert Esser, Faculty of Law, University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Law University of Palermo, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Law Masaryk University in Brno, and Faculty of Law Jagiellonian Univerzity in Krakow. The University of West Bohemia was represented by four students, which presented their papers and were also active in the debate, and one academic. The seminar also included assessment of the students' activities and reflexive discussion of the main organizers.
