The article explains the most important changes in inheritance law in Czechoslovakia after 1948 due to the Communist Coup and the rise of communist ideology. After explaining the main principles, such as divided ownership or the denial of legal dualism, the changes are demonstrated through concrete examples. Those include, e.g., changes in the definition of inheritance titles, changes in succession by law, or reforming the institute of legitime.
