Donations Within Assisted Reproduction in the Czech Republic
Original language description
The contribution will address the issue of the donation of human cells and tissues for reproductive purposes in the Czech Republic. It will be divided into several sections. The introductory section will present the general framework of assisted reproduction in the Czech Republic, particularly with regard to those eligible for such methods. The second part will then address the issue of gamete donors. This section will address questions such as who can be a donor, whether donations are compensated in any way, and whether it is possible to access the donor’s identity. The third part will address the issue of embryo donations. Several topics will be discussed in this section, such as what an embryo is and how to handle embryos created in vitro. Current problems and de lege ferenda suggestions will also be discussed in both parts.
