Animal bones excavated in the deserted village Cetkov (Rokycany District) were analyzed in this study. In history known, this village existed in the 14th century and had been deserted for two times: in 15th century and in the 17th centur. While the firstdesertion was temporary only, for the second time the village was abandoned definitely. Consequently, osteological material from this site is divided in two well-defined assemblages od different age (High Medieval and Early Post-Medieval), which are suitable for confrontation.
