The presentation focuses on the question: On what level of the DIKW model is the research on spirituality in social work in the Czech Republic? Based on a good enough literature review it could be concluded that spirituality is well-established topic in academic social work journals (3.5 % of all papers production). Of 57 texts (53 papers, 4 monographs) only 16 are research papers. From them, only 7 have a character of knowledge (describe a relation between two or more variables).Particular theories (gerotranscendence, sacred canopy, spirituality as compensation) were used in four.
