The 2nd international multidisciplinary conference on Shiite Islam and its position in the contemporary world. The conference focused mainly on the position of Shiite Islam in the contemporary world and its attitudes towards issues of the modern world. Particular attention was paid to the issues of the position of Shiite Islam in different states, Shiite ideas about politics and the modern state, extremism, contemporary Islamic jurisprudence and the academic study of Shiite Islam.
