Original language description
The morphology of elements of the paraconodont genus Westergaardodina observed in the early Ordovician of Bohemia resembles the Late Cambrian species W. bicuspidata and W. polymorpha. The presence of Westergaardodina is consistent with suggested Upper Tremadocian age of its horizon, because reworking of the elements Upper Cambrian sediment is unlikely because of geological and taphonomic reasons. It is the first report of this genus from the Ordovician in the European part of peri-Gondwana.

Czech description
Ve spodním ordoviku Čech byl poprvé zjištěny elementy parakonodonta Westergaardodina, které je morfologicky podobný svrchnokambrickým druhům W. bicuspidata and W. polymorpha. Přítomnost rodu Westergaardodina je v souladu s předpokládaným svrchnotremadockým stářím nálezového horizontu.
