    Several comments on the relation between the music theory analysis and Zich's theory of interpretation

  • Original language description

    For a modern approach to the interpretation of classical music, it is necessary to compile the findings of music theory analysis; we apply them in the spirit of the scientific theory of interpretation. The author of the foundations of this modern musicalscience branch is Jaroslav Zich (Chapters and Studies on Musical Aesthetics, 1975). Even today, however, traditionalist, intuitive and vulgarly constructivist approaches to interpretation are accepted. Conservatories and art academies should link the compositional aspects of music to those of its interpretation. Students may learn the methodologically correct way of preparing the concept of their performance through the study of traditional adaptations of Czech folk songs, as shown on the examples fromthe inheritance of Oldrich Blecha - Až ty pudeš k nám, Černejte se černý višně, Hej šup, šup a Svěť měsíčku.
