    This article is about research of the teaching of spreadsheet applications; it deals with analysis of the Czech and Slovak state documents for primary education in relation to the teaching of spreadsheet programs. It contains a preview of the current status of description of teaching spreadsheets in school documents. At selected schools from the Czech and Slovak Republics this research analyzes school educational programs in relation to teaching of spreadsheet programs. Schools having regard to distribution of population in villages and city's according to the population were selected to create a representative sample. The selection of specific schools was made at random.
