Divaricate patterns in Cambro-Ordovician obolid brachiopods from Gondwana
Original language description
A new brachiopod species Westonia mardini from the Furongian of Turkey and W. urbiona from Furongian of Spain are described and redescribed. Burrowing mechanism of westoniid brachiopods is discussed and functional morphology of muscles is explained. Stratigraphical and paleogeographical overview of obolids with westoniid ornament is presented.
