Currently production enterprises manufacture many varying products according to customer needs. This has led to the development of the make-to-order systems. Such enterprises need to make decisions about production order realization very quickly. They require very detailed financial and non-financial information to determine completion data and price of production orders planned for execution. In this paper a method of production order verification is presented. Particular attention is drawn to cost management system dedicated to make-to-order enterprises. The system allows planned cost of production order to be calculated and financial and non-financial information about the production system and the level of consumption of resources needed to manufacture a product to be collected. The proposed cost management system is an important element of a decision-making process for production order realization.
