Implementation of Diversity into BSC Concept

  • Original language description

This paper deals with the workplace diversity in organizations and its implementation into the Balanced Scorecard concept. Diversity of workforce is very important in current globalized environment for new management methods. Managing diversity (diversity management) can bring many benefits to business but for the proper diversity management there is important to monitor and assess the diversity inside the organization and its contribution for the organization. Measuring of diversity contribution is very difficult, therefore there should be used some of the Integrated Performance Measurement Systems as for example Balanced Scorecard (BSC), which uses financial and non-financial indicators and goals. The main purpose of this paper is to propose and design a scheme of BSC focused on workplace diversity and its contribution. There are suggested some goals within four perspectives of BSC and measures/indicators for particular goals.
