Generalized EOQ Type Inventory Models with Time Dependent both Demand Rate and Holding Cost Rate
Original language description
The paper deals with some generalized inventory control models which are linked to the well-known EOQ model. There are dynamic periodic and deterministic models with common feature being represented by instantaneous replenishment in constant time periods. First, we present models assuming another than constant rate of demand within an inventory cycle. The demand rate takes polynomial form which is specified by particular interpolation conditions. These conditions give a chance to include various intermediate data to describe inventory level during the cycle with particular details. Second, we assume the holding cost rate to be time dependent as well, though of the first algebraic degree basically. However, the generalization to higher degrees is quitestraightforward. The results, in particular - optimal replenishment lot size and optimal total cost per unit of time, yielded from these models with different interpolating conditions are compared with similar quantities provided by class
