The monograph deals with the issue of financial literacy and attempts to identify the present state of affairs in this area in Visegrad Group countries. First, the monograph deals with the concepts of financial literacy and the importance of financial literacy for society. It analyses various symptoms associated with the level of financial literacy, e.g. in the form of household debt. The monograph maps the attitudes on the issue of financial literacy on a European level and then focuses in more detailon the attitudes and evaluations of financial literacy in the selected Visegrad countries - the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Furthermore, the monograph focuses on the measurement of financial literacy and, in this context, presents the results of the authors' survey conducted simultaneously in the four countries of the Visegrad region.
