The contribution provides comparison of the partial results from the questionnaire survey GUESSS (Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey). This survey was conducted at the universities around the world in the year 2016. It was the part of the same name research project with the purpose to grasp the entrepreneurial intent and activity of students using a geographical and temporal comparison. The outputs provide the in-depth insights into students’ entrepreneurial attitudes, intentions, and activities. The first part of contribution is focused on the comparison of the summary data from Czech Republic, Germany and the world. Appropriate statistical methods are used to identify the differences or similarities in students’ plans about their career right after graduation and five years after graduation. The second part of the contribution analyses the detailed data from University of West Bohemia. Correlations of the answers to 29 questions grouped in 6 constructs are calculated. The zero correlation was found between the construct Ability to create and implement own plans and the construct Decision – to become an entrepreneur. It means that the answers to the questions from last mentioned construct are not based on the necessary condition for being successful, instead of that, they may represent only the wishes of the students.
