Original language description
Personal data protection represents the issue which began to be solved in the context of religious conflicts and has come to the fore after the Second World War that showed the negative consequences of personal data misuse. Personal data protection is currently mentioned in relation with implementation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by EU member countries. Objective of this article is to evaluate attitudes of further specified research sample consisted of business units doing business in the Czech Republic to changes set by the new legislative regulation of data protection. This article presents mainly the results of quantitative research based on data gathered using the questionnaire survey processing, identifies the weak areas of GDPR implementation and proposes possible improvements leading to more comfortable transition of business units to the current legislative conditions in personal data protection set by the European Parliament and Council of the European Union.
