THE CZECH REPUBLIC FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE VOLUNTEERING IN THE WEB OF SCIENCE DATABASE

  • Original language description

The development of the volunteering as a science can be observed in the history of public articles of Czech authors in the Web of Science database. The first use of the term is connected with the use of volunteers in medicine projects by Czech authors. The content analysis of Czech papers limited to open access shows that the medical environment and the use of volunteers for health research is the main topic of Czech articles with the assignment of the topic "Volunteering". The extension of managerial methods to project management in connection with volunteering has not been proven from the analysis of searches in the WoS database by Czech authors using the restrictions of open access articles. The research method is a qualitative study of contributions, which is followed by a quantitative study of contributions in the WoS database. The literary review serves to answer the question of when Czech authors begin to combine scientific articles about the volunteering with their management in projects. From the analysis of the search, it is possible to determine how the Czech Republic stands with contributions from other countries. It is also possible to answer the proportion of contributions for different sectors. The limitation of this article is to use only freely available articles in the Web of Science database.
