A methodology of design variables optimization of large mechanical nonconservative systems in steady vibration is presented. The process is based on the system decomposition, modal synthesis method constitution of the condensed model in state - space, calculation of complex conjugate modal values and minimization of the scalar nonlinear multiple objective function in the feasible domain.
