    Seismic response of primary circuit with viscous dampers

  • Original language description

    In the paper mathematical model, modal analysis and seismic response of primary circuit are presented. The primary circuit is a very large fynamical system. The DOF reduction is performed by dividing into subsystems: a reactor and main circulating loops. The damping and stiffness matrices of circulating loops are frequency dependent. The influence of the discrete couplings between subsystems is expressed by stiffness matrix calculated by means of FEM analysis. Seismic excitation is caused by the translation of the base. Seismic response is calculated by the modified response spectrum method.
