Original language description
The paper deals with a correction of mass, stiffness and damping matrices of the straight pipeline finite element. The growing fluid flow velocity causes a decrease of eigenfrequencies. When some eigenfrequency achieves zero value the whole system is atthe stability boundary. Crossing the corresponding velocity boundary a loss of stability occurs.
