Original language description
In th present article, we studied the phenomenon of the propagation of a pressure wave in a thin walled elastic tube filled with an incompressible Newtonian fluid. This problem is generally described by the coupling of the equations of the dynamics of fluid with equations of the movement of the wall which is modelled by laws of elastic (viscoelastic) material behavior. Under suitable approximations, we derive a hyperbolic system of equations with source term. A proper set of boundary conditions is derived by means of standard characteristics analysis. The model is examined numerically using a high-resolution non-oscillatory central scheme with nonstaggered grids, Nessyahu-Tadmor (NT).
