Original language description
The paper presents one of the possible numerical techniques for the solution of the nonlinear system of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations based on the cell-centred finite volume method on a structured quadrilateral grid. Time integration of the inviscid part of the system of the Navier-Stokes equations is performed by using the explicit two-step Causon's simplified TVD MacCormack scheme. The viscous part is approximated by using a finite volume version with central differences. This numerical technique is tested on the laminar computation of subsonic flow through a 2D test channel with two symmetrical DCA8% profiles and on the laminar computation of transonic flow through a 2D test cascade of symmetrical DCA8% profiles.
