Original language description

The estimate of the number of vessel profiles per unit area ranged from 100.5+/-44.0/mm2 to 442.6+/-102.5/mm2 in 59 nodes. Advantages of this method are a high reproducibility with reasonable interobserver (intraclass correlation coefficient 0.631) and low intraobserver (intraclass correlation coefficient 0.847) variance and the possibility to use archival material.
