Modal synthesis method and the reduced modelling of flexible rotors
Original language description
This article deals with modelling of complex flexible rotor systems, which are represented by several disks and a shaft. Flexible disks are modelled by using linear hexahedral elements. Full integration, selective reduced integration, and B-method integration of solid elements are described. The shaft is modelled as a one-dimensional continuum. The main benefit of this paper is condensation method of complex rotor systems, which is demonstrated on a rotor with two disks.
