Modelling of hierarchically perfused tissue with application to cerebral blood flow - homogenization of dual-porous layers
Original language description
We suggest a new approach to the modeling of brain perfusion based on homogenization of the hierarchical flow in the tissue microstructure. The proposed multiscale model is based on the homogenization of the Darcy flow in the dual porous medium decomposed in layers representing different hierarchies. It enables to reduce the computational complexity of the model while retaining some important geometrical features of the perfusion network. The model will allow for simulations of the dynamic brain perfusion test using the contrast tracer.
