Modelling and design of passive damping of turbine blade vibration
Original language description
This contribution is aimed at modelling of friction effects in blade shrouding which are realized by means of friction elements placed between blades. The modelling methodology can be divided into two steps. The first step is characterized by detailed modelling of two blades vibrations with small one friction body in between. Flexible blades fixed to the rotating disc are discretized by FEM using 1D Rayleigh beam elements derived in rotating space as well as the friction body modelled as rigid body. Thespatial contact and friction forces are derived using nonlinear contact theory and harmonic balance method. The second step is the modelling and analysis of a complex system composed of a flexible disk (or a general rotor) with mounted blades. The blades are considered as one dimensional continuum fixed with three-dimensional elastic disk centrally clamped into turbine rotor rotating with constant speed.
