    The software can be used for semi-automatic evaluation of mechanical propertiesof tissues. A majority ofbiological tissues has non-linear behavior when exposed to theuniaxial tension loading. The characteristic tissue stiffening is visible. Three mainregions of stress-strain curve can be distinguished: 'toe region' with lowtissue stiffness, 'heel region' connected with tissue stiffening and the'linear region'. The elfpy can determine the Young's modulus of elasticityfor each cycle when the tissue is exposed to the cyclic mechanical loading andthe Young's modulus of elasticity of toe and linear regions and the ultimatestress and strain when the tissue is exposed to the tension test with growingelongation up to the tissue rupture. The code allows the reading ofinput data, evaluation of uniaxial mechanical tests, the graphicalinterpretation of results (stress-strain curves with Young's moduli ofelasticity) and the saving of results.
