Homogenization of Perfusion in a Large-Deforming Medium using the Updated Lagrangian Formulation

  • Original language description

In this paper we consider the problem of the Darcy ow in large deforming medium characterized by the double porosity. An incremental formulation based on the updated Lagrangean and the Biot continuum model is introduced, where the equations involve mechanical equilibrium and the volume conservation, assuming both the uid and solid phases are incompressible. This linear system is treated by the homogenization method. Locally periodic reference microstructures are considered, where the permeability is dened piecewise, being scaled w.r.t. the microstructure size in the matrix compartment which separates the so-called channels. The homogenized incremental problem involves the macroscopic pressures associated with these channels. Homogenized coefcients of the macroscopic incremental equations are computed for any local microstructure, depending on the corrector solutions of auxiliary local microscopic problems. Updating the reference conguration is discussed and a numerical illustration is
