Analysis of Fluid-Structure Interaction by means of SPH Method
Original language description
The study is focused on fluid-structure interaction (FSI) between a Newtonian fluid and an isotropic elastic structure in 2D. The experimental data are compared to results of numerical simulations by means of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method. An SPH model including standard corrective terms is implemented and applied to model both Newtonian viscous fluid and an isotropic elastic solid. The presented SPH code solves the fluid dynamics and the elastodynamics separately while the FSI is realized through a dedicated contact algorithm.
