Mathematical Methods Used in Meteor Searching

The paper contains a description of two mathematical methods, which can be successfully used in searching of meteors in astronomical snaps. The problem of meteor searching represents the problem of straight lines detection in digital images. The currentmethod for this problem solving is Hough transformation. The second described method is Radon transformation, which was used as a pre-processing method before Hough transformation. The article contains theoretical introduction into Hough and Radon transformation and practical demonstration of found meteors.
