A numerical study of pulsatile blood flow in a patient-specific coronary bypass model
Original language description
Present study deals with the numerical investigation of hemodynamics in a patient-specific aorto-coronary bypass model by prescribing unsteady boundary conditions. The numerical simulations of physiological blood flow in a side-to-side anastomosis of theconsidered bypass model are performed using own solver developed for the numerical solution of the non-linear time-dependent systém of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in 3D. The computational algorithm is based on a fully implicit projectionmethod and the cell-centred finite volume method for hybrid unstructured tetrahedral grids. For results discussion, special emphasis is placed on the evaluation and analysis of main hemodynamical factors such as distribution of velocity, wall shear stress (WSS) and oscillatory shear index (OSI).
