On the influence of wall roughness on gas flow in parallel plate microchannels
Original language description
The paper deals with application of the perturbation method to the solution of the non-linear system of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations describing steady fluid flow between two parallel plates with a prescribed roughness function. The physicalspace is transformed to the Cartesian computational domain. The incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are linearized with the help of the perturbation method, where the relative roughness is considered as the perturbation parameter. These results are compared with numerical results obtained using the finite volume Navier-Stokes solver based on the projection method. The perturbation equations are also applied to the fractal roughness function.
