Binary condensation of NaCl and steam for trasonic and subsonic flow in a turbine cascade
Original language description
The mathematical model and code for binary nucleation of NaCl and water is applied in this paper to the nozzle cascade of the first wet stage of the LP part of a 200 MW condensing steam turbine. This model helps in observing the structure of the steam flow with heterogenous condensation. A two-dimensional wet steam flow is described by the system of Euler equations. The system is linked with equations describing binary nucleation and with equations describing growth of water droplets by condensation. NaCl impurity is assumed in nucleus form and its mass is neglected.
