Numerical validation of homogenized models for heterogeneous structures
Original language description
The homogenization approach is employed in modeling of mechanical behavior of heterogeneous media with a periodic microstructure. The size of heterogeneities is characterized by parameter epsilon which tends to zero in the process of homogenization. Thiscontribution compares the numerical results of limit models with direct computation of structures involving a finite number of periodically repeated units.
