Steam Turbine Rotor Stator Impact and Rubbing Detection
Original language description
At present, detailed rubbing diagnostics is implemented as off-line analysis of measured data. During the machine operation, the overall level of vibration and the rotational frequency phasor (1X) are traced. Changes of the 1X phasor relate to the thermal effects of rubbing, where rotor consequently bends in the contact plane. In this paper the on-line tool for automatic rubbing detection is proposed. The proposed automatic detection algorithm is based on characteristic values, which are computed usingspecial norming of tracked frequencies in the cumulative full-spectra. The method can partially help the machine operator recognize dangerous machine states and take early action in preventing irreversible damage of turbine.
