Original language description
Software for simulation of caching algorithms in client application for distributed file systems was made for comparison of these algorithms. By using graphical user interface, the simulation can be set, and run. After the simulation, the results can bevisualised, and exported to xls or csv files. In the tool, there are preprogramed caching algorithms for simulation. The tool can be easy extended by adding new caching algorithms. The requests for evaluation of caching algorithms are produced by randomgenerators or can be generated from AFS log file.
