    Gear drive system dynamics: Vibro-impact modeling and analysis

  • Original language description

    Gear drive dynamic is wide range and complex research topic. There exist many design factors influencing proper functionality of the gear drive. Although the gear drive is proper designed for given operation conditions, undesirable phenomena can occur because of internal parametric excitations or due to over- or under-loading of the system. This paper focuses on a phenomenon regarding vibro-impact oscillation. First, a brief overview of mathematical modeling of gear drives including gearing and bearingcouplings with nonlinearities summarized and dynamic analysis focused on detection of nonlinear phenomena influenced by gear impact motions is presented.
