    In this article, we would like to introduce the comprehensive approach how to build an ontology in spatial domain. We re-use existing and proved methodologies and techniques ? such as standards (RDF, OWL), methodologies (based on On-To-Knowledge, METHONTOLOGY and Uschold & King) or relations. We add another components of ontology development procedure ? (1) detail weighing and justification of a real goal (including putting ontology into practice) of the ontology during competency questions processing;(2) prepared SPARQL queries, that ensure (together with a client service and a GUI) ontology deployment (because users usually do not need just a data structure, but also a working application based on data and information); (3) way of mass populating ofthe final ontology by using of various logical types of object relations, reasoning of asserted ontology and implementation of XSLT templates that make possible to transform any structured information to RDF format.
