Mechanical properties of sprung wheel rubber segments and selecting of suitable model to describe their behaviour
Original language description
The aim of this work was the verification of a model whose parameters were identified in previous work. Mullins effect was captured using the Ogden-Roxburgh model of strain induced softening where the five-parameter Mooney-Rivlin model was chosen as a suitable representation of the strain energy density function. To introduce time dependency of the material behaviour, the concept of free energy was used in the model. The model was verified using two compression tests which were compared to their numerical simulations.
