Sensors and sensor systems have already found utilization in precision farming. However, certain technology limitations that discourage farmers from broader use of sensor systems remain. Presented sensor system for precision farming was designed to solveseveral problems of current technologies. It became a part of a complex system that involves all steps from detailed monitoring of information and data on fields to data analysing and publishing in the Internet environment. An important point of the software development was interoperability with other systems. The SensLog software framework is the main product and the result of gradual development. SensLog is capable to store, analyse and publish data in various ways to achieve the interoperability. SensLog was tested and refined with the new long distance RFID based wireless sensor network technology ? VLIT NODE. These products can offer integrated and affordable solution for precision farming.
