Original language description
The paper presents a novel approach for Automatic Face Recognition (AFR). The apporach is based on combined SIFT/SURF descriptor for face representation. The adapted Kepenekci matching method is adopted for the face comparison stage. The proposed methodis evaluated on the FERET and ČTK corpora. The obtained recognition rates are 98.4% and 64.6% respectively. These recognition scores show that our approach outperforms significantly all other methods on these corpora.
