3D Localization of Nonstationary Events on Surfaces and Structures
Original language description
Method implemented in the SW is designed for localization of nonstationary events pon surfaces and structures especially in nuclear power plants (LPM system). An acoustic transient caused by the nonstationary event spreads in the steel and is detected onsensors placed in various locations afterwards. The sensors detect the transient in different times because each sensor has different distance of the impact location and the velocity of the transient is finite. The arrival time depends on the distance.After each impact a set of detection times on all sensors is obtained. The corresponding times are computed and 3D localization on the surface is processed. The surface or structure is one of the inputs where STL format is supported.
