Original language description
The couple key-groove in the lower part of the reactor pressure vesel and the core barrel is in normal operation conditions loaded by the force F of the order of kN. Relative axial motion in his couple results in fretting wear. The design value of the gap between the gap and the groove ranges from 0.05 to 0.17 mm. Due to key fretting wear the potential for increasing of this gap exists. The friction and the fretting wear coefficients must be known to perform this assessments. The experimental stend and the obtained results are presented.
