Computational model of plastic shoulder protector
Original language description
The model of a shoulder protector for motorcyclists is described in this work. The model was created using the finite element method. A plastic shell with honeycomb and a viscoelastic foam are basic parts of the protector which absorb energy. Material parameters of the both basic parts were identified based on mechanical tests of samples which were cut directly from the protector.
