    FlowPro - multipurpose CFD software written in Java

    FlowPro is a universal open-source CFD software, which is being developed by the researchers of the Department of Mechanics and the Research Programme 3 of the NTIS Research Centre at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of West Bohemia. The computational core of the FlowPro software is based on the discontinuous Galerkin finite element method, a numerical method suitable for high accuracy solutions of various non-linear systems of hyperbolic-parabolic partial differential equations in a general spatial dimension. To increase computer performance, the computational core of the FlowPro software enables parallel running. The FlowPro software is implemented in the Java programming language in order to simplify the use of various platforms. User-friendliness of the FlowPro software lies in the possibility to implement own developed computational modules for the solution of proposed mathematical models via the FlowPro API interface. Another advantage of the FlowPro software is the option to automate computations via a Matlab/Python interface.
