Model Transformation of Application Software Component from Classic to Adaptive AUTOSAR: An Approach to Migrate Software Components
Original language description
Model driven architecture (MDA), which is a part of model driven engineering (MDE), is considered as an important approach used to enhance software quality. The Automotive Open System Architecture (AUTOSAR) which is widely accepted as the de-facto standard of automotive system software architecture for developing automotive applications, is currently developing a new standard for a novel automotive software platform named AUTOSAR Adaptive. One of the important general goals of AUTOSAR is to support portability of application software. However AUTOSAR is not supporting natively the portability between AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive, which would enable the maximum re-use of existing features of AUTOSAR Classic in AUTOSAR Adaptive. This research paper attempts to achieve this goal in context of application SWC (Software Component Type) using a model transformation approach of MDA.
