Two-scale numerical modelling of fluid-saturated porous media undregoing large deformation with self-contact in micropores; homogenization approach
Original language description
The paper brings a new numerical two-scale model of a nonlinear poroelastic medium saturated by a slightly compressible fluid subject to loads which, at the pore level, induce unilateral self-contact in their periodic microstructures. The microstructure is constituted as a periodic lattice generated by a representative cell consisting of a hyperelastic skeleton and alternatively includes a rigid inclusion which is clamped in the compliant material on a part of its pore surface. Under some assumptions concerning the pore geometry, a homogenized model is derived formally using the periodic unfolding and the method of oscillating test functions. Numerical examples of 2D deforming structures are presented to demonstrate the influence of the fluid in the pores on the effective stiffness and the distribution of the solid-solid contact at the pore level.
